HOW TO TIE A TIE: THE FULL WINDSOR KNOT
Posted: July 24, 2011 Filed under: Ties | Tags: Clothing, Full Windsor Knot, How To Tie A Tie, How To Tie A Tie Video, Necktie, Neckties, Ties, Video, Windsor knot, Windsor Knot Video 1 Comment »“[The full windsor knot] is symmetrical, well balanced, and self-releasing. It is a large knot, which amply displays the fabric and design of the tie when wearing a closed jacket or coat, and helps keep the throat area warm during the colder winter months.
A large knot can distract attention away from the wearer’s face; therefore, a Windsor best compliments a strong square or round face, or those sporting facial hair” (Wikipedia: Windsor Knot).
The Windsor Knot looks best with a spread collar shirt like the shirt pictured in this post. The full windsor knot is a great knot for that professional look.
The guy in the video knows what he is doing when it comes to tying ties. He had a job where he had to wear a tie every day for two years straight. During those two years, a day never passed without wearing a tie…no joke. For the last five years he has worn a tie to work….five days out of the week. His tie tying experience is off the charts with at least eight years of tie tying experience. Amazing! Go to tiesbeltsocks.com for ties.
TIES
Posted: July 7, 2011 Filed under: Ties | Tags: Clothing, Necktie, Tie, Ties 1 Comment »You know, ties can come in real handy sometimes, other than wearing them around your neck at work. Like when you get off work late and you want to go to a party, but don’t have time to change clothes. Well… all you need to do is wear your tie around your head like a head band so you are not to be mistaken as not being a party animal. You could even emphasize your party-animalness, when there is something exciting happening at the party, by occasionally twirling your tie above your head like you’re a cowboy.
Also, say you’re at a football game and everyone in the stadium has rally towels to wave in the air to cheer on their team victory….except you forgot your rally towel at home and you are the only one in the whole stadium who doesn’t have a rally towel. Well, you can use your tie to wave in the air and that way you can still cheer on your team and you won’t feel left out.
Remember if you need a tie to show others you’re a party animal or to cheer on your team then go to tiesbeltsocks.com.
“GET READY TO RUMBLE” WITH YOUR NECKTIE
Posted: June 29, 2011 Filed under: Ties | Tags: Clothing, Music, Necktie, Tie, Ties Leave a comment »I was thinking the other day about tying my necktie in the mornings and I thought to myself that every morning when I tie my necktie for work I should listen to some “get ready to rumble” music. You know the type of music you might listen to while you are getting ready for a secret mission that is impossible….that’s what I mean by “get ready to rumble” music.
Next time you tie your necktie in the morning, try it while listening to “get ready to rumble” music. My only advice about this is if you have roommates, or a wife, and/or kids that you might want to use headphones while listening to your “get ready to rumble” music so you don’t wake them up or disturb them. If you want to rumble, but need a necktie to do so, then go to tiesbeltsocks.com
Here are some suggestions for “Get Ready to Rumble” music to listen to (click on the links):
- Pump Up the Jam (the technotronic version)
- We Will Rock You (Queen)
- Mission Impossible Theme Song (U2)
- Superman Theme Song (if you’re feeling like a super hero)
- Get Ready to Rumble (Jock Jams)

SOCKS AND TIES

My goal with this post is to promote this sock-tie revolution.

Orange Socks
Dress socks can be a lot of fun! When I was younger all I can remember wearing were plain white cotton socks. Now socks come in all kinds of colors. If you want to have fun with your socks try matching the color of your socks with the color of your tie. It could change your whole outlook on how your socks can work with your wardrobe.

Posted: May 14, 2011 Filed under: Ties | Tags: Clothing, Neckties, Ties, Zipper, Zipper Ties Leave a comment »Four or five years ago a friend of mine took a trip to South Korea. When she returned from her trip she gave me a zipper tie as a gift and I loved it!! Whenever I’m in a hurry to get some where and I need to wear a tie, I always grab her tie….the zipper tie…because it’s easy to put on really quick. In case you are wondering what a zipper tie is…it’s a tie that zips like a zipper does on a pair of pants or a jacket. How a zipper tie works is it zips on and off….it’s as simple as that! There are no tying knots involved…very convenient! I love my zipper tie!!! If you need a zipper tie try looking at tiesbeltsocks.com

A real sock monster made out of real socks
Sock Monsters….these are interesting critters! I’ve never seen one, but they keep stealing my socks when I do my laundry. I don’t know how it happens, but I’ll put a pair of socks in the washer and between putting them in the washer and taking them out of the drier they always seem to get my socks. Anyways, the definition below is something I found on the web about Sock Monsters.
Sock Monsters: “Found in (or around) washing machines and tumble driers. Thought to be genetically modified, highly evolved organisms. …A voracious predator of socks the sock monster preys on single socks alway leaving behind one of the pair it has captured.”
